HSCs (P ≤ 0.024) (Table 4). Complete data for age, parity, BMI, and IRSD
were available for 807 women (625 from non-HSCs and 182 from
HSCs). When adjusted for maternal age, parity, BMI, and IRSD, birth in
an HSC was negatively associated with nulliparous term singleton vertex
cesarean section (Table 4).
4. Discussion
The present study has shown that more women from Afghanistan,
Bhutan, Iraq, and Myanmar than non-HSCs required an interpreter
during prenatal and maternal care in Australia, and that their general
