Dear All,
Firstly may I take this opportunity in thanking you all for your attendance, commitment and participation in the above briefings that I have held over the last week.
From these meetings I received some valuable feedback and suggestions from some of you, which will not be forgotten and will be actioned sometime in the future. I hope at the same time that I clearly explained the companies expectations of you and the workforce's with regards to 'Safety First', your roles and responsibilities as Managers and Supervisors and our ultimate aim for a Zero Tolerance towards Accidents within the workplace.
Now is the time to put what was explained to you at the briefings into action! please be advised that the OSHE (Occupational Safety, Health and Environment) Information Boards have now been erected and and displayed in the following location/areas:
ZONE 1 Pointe Russe Building On the first floor to the right of the Elevator/Maintenance office.
ZONE 1 Danceman Building On the First floor, side entrance of the building next to the swipe clocking in/out system/Human Resource Information Board.
ZONE 3 Pointe Russe Building On the first floor behind the swipe clocking in/out system at the front entrance in between the Elevator and the CNC Room 1.
On the first floor on the wire fencing opposite the swipe clocking in/out system and in between the stair core and CNC 1/CNC 2 Rooms.
On the first floor adjacent to the swipe clocking in/out system opposite the Development Room.
On these Information Boards the following Company Policies and Announcements as listed below are displayed of which were briefly explained to you at our meeting. These documents are signed by our General Manager & Head of Global Supply Mr. Sam Hanna. All documents have been produced in the Thai and English Language for ease of purpose and for the multi national individuals who work here. Copies of these are attached at the bottom of this mail.
Policy on Safety, Occupational Health and Environment.
Non Smoking Policy Statement.
Drug and Alcohol Policy Statement.
An Announcement on - The Regulatory Rights and Duties of Employers and Employees. The Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Act B.E. 2554 (2011).
You are now required to deliver this information in the form of a verbal briefing to all workers that report to you and work within your departments and record the sessions given on the attached word file 'OSHE Safety Briefing Attendance Record ' once complete returning them to either Tom/Arrita or me your Safety Team for record keeping purposes.
The briefings do not to have to be delivered all at the same time, I would suggest that you deliver these to the workforce over 4 day period at the commencement of each shift so as not to disrupt production, each session should only take approximately 10 minutes. In the event of any individual that raises any questions or concerns, please ensure you note these remarks and E mail them to me so the Safety Team can take appropriate action. Should you feel that you need my support in delivering these sessions to the workforce please do not hesitate in asking me, I will only be too willing to accompany you and assist.
At the end of the briefing sessions please inform all that attend to regularly look at the Information boards for updates being posted, one is already displayed regarding the forthcoming 'Safety Employee of the Month' award/reward/incentive scheme
In addition to the above you was also made aware that PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), examples shown consisting of masks, hand, eye, ear and foot protection, which is being issued to the workforce along with mandatory signs which are gradually being displayed within the factory areas and on machinery. Part of your briefing sessions should also include the issue and use of PPE emphasizing that it must be worn, please use the A 4 PPE signs (copies attached) as examples relevant to the types of PPE being issued. It is now up to you to enforce and encourage its use along with the Safety Team. Remember what I said it does not matter what designation we are 'We are all Safety Officers' and I know from past training records the company has already invested in some of you by providing 'Safety Officer' courses.
As I said previously lets aim towards a Zero Tolerance towards Accidents and a positive 'Safety First' culture amongst all of us.
