Two-detector planar PET system was utilized to carry out
comparison studies. Each detector consisted of a matrix of 3
by 3 by 10 mm GSO crystal array coupled to an array of 4 by
4 of Hamamatsu R5900-C8 PSPMTs. Detectors were read out
using coincidence trigger and signals were digitized using
custom 32-channle FPGA-based ADC. Reconstructed planes
were obtained using simple back-projection algorithm.
