To optimize the formation condition of silica nanoparticles,
the effect of aging temperature was investigated.
The experiments were performed at different aging temperatures:
30°C, 45°C, 60°C, and 80°C, and the concentration
of CTAB and aging time are fixed at 2.0 wt.%
and 8 h, respectively. The TEM micrographs of silica
nanoparticles obtained at different aging temperatures
are exhibited in Figure 5a,b,c,d.
