The sample was filtered
through a 0.45 mm syringe filter and the levels of chlorogenic acid
and epicatechin, the major monomeric polyphenols in Granny
Smith apple (Li et al., 2014), were analysed by HPLC using the
method described by Golding, McGlasson, Wyllie, and Leach (2001)
and modified by Li et al. (2014).
