Phylogenetic trees reconstructed using hsp60,pheS,rpoA and tuf gene sequence confirmed that the three studied strains can be assigned to a novel taxon of the genus lactobacillus. They are positioned on separate phylogenetic branches among species of the genus lactobacillus. However, the topology of the tree did not match that obtained on the basis of 16s rRNA gene sequence, because of the use of shorter gene fragment and the absence of relevant gene sequence for unclassified, probably novel, texa of lactobacilli from the digestive tracts of pollinators.
