This review also showed that several instruments are used in research to measure PTS in mothers of preterm infants. Some instruments are positively correlated with each other, but the level at
which they detect the incidence of PTS symptoms might differ, as
was seen with the Modified PTSD Symptom Scale Self-Report and
Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV. Evidence indicated that all mothers of preterm infants were at risk of having at least one symptom of PTS symptoms and a large proportion
of these mothers are at risk of developing the diagnosis of
