Successful Content Marketing Strategies vs. Secret Recipes
You won’t ever find a secret recipe for content. You can’t make a one size fits all strategy. You can’t get away from the fact that good content takes time, and lots of it. While I can offer some advice from my personal experience, the success of your content marketing strategy depends on how well you engage your target audience. Instead of offering you the secret sauce of content writing or marketing, I decided to include five small (and practical) principles that have helped me the most in developing a quality blog content strategy.
Before you start ingesting these principles, I feel it’s necessary to mention one minor detail about commitment. You see, many of the ideas I come up with fail a quarter of the way through, or maybe halfway through if I’m really unlucky. What I’ve learned is that you can’t be too committed to an idea: you have to be able to let it go if you find that it won’t work out.
Also, don’t be disappointed if your amazing content under-performs. Keep the Pareto Principle in mind: 80 percent of your results come from 20 percent of your efforts. Don’t let this discourage you. Instead, let it motivate you to keep going even when you don’t see immediate results – like Jon in this comic. http://www.garfield.com/comics/vault.html?yr=2002&addr=020908
