The island dates only to 1722, when a canal was constructed as a shortcut to bypass a bend in the Om Kret branch of the Chao Phraya river. As the canal was widened several times, the section cut off eventually became a separate island. The island continues to serve as a refuge to the Mon tribes who dominated central Thailand between the 6th and 10th centuries and have retained a distinct identity in their version of Buddhism and, particularly at Ko Kret, their pottery.

Today we will take you to Ko Kret Nontabu which is short trip from bangkok.
first we have to go pak kret pier. you can go buy bus No. 166 if i’m correct. and you have to go to Wat sanam Pier and take the ferry to ko kret. it’s only 2 baht for ferry.
 
after that, you arrive there are many things to eat. you will surprise that all ko kret stall food are the same. but the nearest stall is the best seller, even taste is the same. Location still work!
 
Special thing that we found is the boat tour around the island. we met newly couple ( I guessed). they kindly give us to share with them for cost to take the boat tour around island and around the island he show us many house that belong to drama director, politicians, and well known person in thailand.
Next I will write something more deeply about our Project at my friend garden.
we have plan to make the community mall, restaurant, and BandB if you want to.
