The system, assembled using a breadboard, was brought together and tested. The phone was
able to send a signal to the MSP and retrieve real data from a sample. However, a major stall
occurred before the FTDI chip was introduced to the system. Originally it was believed that a
chip onboard the Launchpad, the TUSB3410, would be able to facilitate communication between
the MSP and the Android application. However, there are no Android drivers available for the
TUSB3410. Thanks to Kelvin LeBeaux, who gave links of support sites for the FTDI chip, UART
to USB transmission was able to commence.
The retrieved data was able to be graphed on the phone. An preliminary algorithm has been
implemented and has yielded correct results for 2 sets of data. Further testing must be completed.
