How could I say 'no'? So, I nodded in agreement as she let herself to lay on the bed. We were now facing each other. She gently hugged me and gave a "Good night, sis!" plus a kiss on the check in went to sleep. I closed my eyes too and followed her.
My dream that night was about the day I confessed to Kotori on that rooftop. That made me really sad.
When I woke up in the morning, Yukiho was still wrapped in my arms. I gently stroke her hair trying not to wake her. I let go of a smile "I'm lucky to have such a cute little sister..."
I got up and went downstairs where I met my mother. "Good morning, honey! Do you want to eat breakfast right now or..." she asked.
"Its ok!" I sat on a corner as she put the meal on the table.
"Is Yukiho awake already?" my mother asked. I just shacked my head in response. "I see... I am going to wake her... I will be back soon!" she said while heading upstairs. I tried to give her a smile but my expression returned into emptiness once she was out of sign.
I watched at the ceiling and spaced out. I let go of a loud sigh. They said I could have gone home yesterday, but today, I will be reaffected into the hospital. I think they actually wanted us to have a last happy family moment.
I was brought back into reality by Yukiho. "Sis, are you ok?" she was concerned. "I'm ok! Should we eat them?" I was trying to avoid that question. We then ate and after we finished, Yukiho gave me a kiss and went to school.
At around 10:00AM, it was almost time I will have to go back to the hospital. I went into my room and took some stuff. And went down once I was done.
To my surprise, the other entire eight Muse were in the living room. I was so happy they all came to give a last goodbye. Tears came to my eyes at that though.
We had a little chat as they explained how the chairwoman gave them a special authorization to come here. We talked about nothing and everything for some more minutes.
At 10:30AM, it was time to go. Everyone waved all trying to be strong and gave me a smile. Mother walked me to the hospital where I was greed by many nurse.
They gave me the choice between some few pajamas, so I went with the blue one. And they gave me a white wristband with my name, my blood type and the name of the hospital was written in.
I waved goodbye to my mother who was on verge of tears as I followed one of the nurse toward the elevator. She pressed the higher level.
"Stage seven!?" I pointed out. She nodded in response "It's actually a peaceful place you could stay in."
As the elevator's door opened, the first thing I realized was very high ceiling. The windows were just open of 15 centimeters. Everything was colored white too and sterilized.
The nurse leaded me toward my new room. As I stepped inside the room, I realized it was an individual one. She then waved and walked away. I put all my things on a desk and then went for a little walk. I walk weakly and slowly. I could feel my strength was gone just by doing some meters.
After a couple of minute, I was now on a living room. There was no one there. There was just a table, some chair, a sofa and a TV. I sat on one of the chair watching through the window. I sighed.
I was suddenly interrupted by someone entering the room. A seemingly young girl has entered the room. She wore a pink pajama and a white wristband too. She took a seat close to me, and then started to talk
"So, wich are you?" her tone was empty. She didn't even take a look at me. "Hein? What?" I was surprised. "So, it's your first time..." she stated up. Then she explained me; the seventh floor is the hospice, everyone here are dying people; no one stays permanently at the seventh, there are time you can go back home, but you will be send back here.
"There is never a fourth..." she continued "...at your third trip to house, you can choose whenever you want to die at home or here at the seventh..."
"I'm actually at my second... next time, I will have to choose where I want to die..." With that, she added, her expression still stoic "I will only tell it once, so listen well; 'there is nether a fourth time, if you want to flee, go the station B and not the A, if you don't want to burden your family, don't eat, don't drink, it will be quicker this way." it sounded like she was annoyed by telling that but I think it's actually a tradition from patient to patient.
Then, she ended up "Be sure to repeat these words on your turn one day too..." with that, she stood up and went out of the room.
Before that brown waist-lench-haired girl leaved the room, I called for her, reading her wristband,
"Thank you, Sakura Setsumi!". "You can just call me Setsumi..." then, she exited the room.
"The seventh!?" I stared at the ceiling "Hmm...
