Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines
In March 1999, we published the Panasonic Group Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines to effectively manage the use of chemical substances in products and manufacturing processes in consideration of their safety.
In response to the tightening of regulations governing the levels of chemical substances in products, we separated the Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines into "For Products" and "For Factories" versions in November 2004.
In our Green Procurement Standards, we ask suppliers to comply with the Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines (For Products).
Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines (For Products) Ver. 9 (issue: December 1, 2014, enforcement: December 27, 2014)
The purpose of the Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines (For Products) is to improve the environmental quality of the products we produce and sell by clarifying the chemical substances (environmentally-impacting substances) that are prohibited or require special management if contained in raw materials, components, etc., that constitute our products and by ensuring that our internal business units, sites and suppliers become familiar with specified chemical substances.
Chemical substances categorized as Prohibited Substances and Managed Substances as defined in the Chemical Substances Management Rank Guidelines (For Products) are equivalent to JAMP-Declarable Substances.
Please refer to the JAMP website for JAMP-Declarable Substances and explanations (Front page -> Download --> List of JAMP-Declarable Substances).
