When I was young I realized very quickly that my teachers had no interest in teaching me anything, but I wanted to learn so I read as much as I could on my own. Since my classes were usually behind on where I had gotten myself, I would draw. When my teachers caught me they reported me to my parents who punished me for drawing instead of paying attention to the half hearted rehashing of what I had already learned on my own, so I started tearing my drawings out before anyone could notice. My parents caught on and I would be punished for every page torn out of my notebook. So I stopped. I never drew anything ever again. All I learned from school is that public schools have been defunded to the point that they're little more than day care for the nearly mentally retarded and any signs of creativity will be exterminated with prejudice. Everything my parents taught me is today an obsolete anachronism. I became a Physicist despite every attempt to force me to be a menial laborer.
