High broiler weight at slaughter is the main
goal of the farmer. Factors that influence
broiler flock performance, such as nutritional
and environmental conditions, are well docu-mented [1, 2, 3]. Other less-well-understood
factors, such as age of the breeder and egg
storage before incubation, may affect embryonic
life of the chick and thereafter the quality
of the hatched chick and the growth potential
posthatch.
