One of the most famouse races in the world in the 24 hours at Le Mans, in France. The Race track is only 13.5 kilometres long, but driver must race around it as many times as possible in 24 hours.Because the race last so long, each car has two or more drivers. The first Le Mans 24-hours race was held in 1923. The first winner were Andre Lagache and Rene Leonard. They drove a distance of 2,209.536 kilometres,at an average speed of 92 kilometres per hour. Since 1923,the race has become much faster.The 2010 race was won by Mike Rockenfeller, Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas. They drove a distance of 5,410.713 kilometres,at an average speed of over 225 kilometres an hour!
