Research examining the links of fit perceptions with work affect/job
satisfaction has not focused on the causal direction of these relationships.
This study attempted to address this gap in the literature by utilizing a
longitudinal research design that isolated the relative causal influence of
these variables at both the within- and between-person levels of analysis.
