Nonthaburi is the provincial capital of Nonthaburi Province, one of the main provinces of Thailand. It is situated by the Chao Phraya River near other provinces such as Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Bangkok. Nonthaburi city has a population of around 270,000 making it the second largest city in the country. It is also considered by most locals as a Bangkok suburb because of its location near the nation’s capital. Most areas in Nonthaburi are urbanized. The modern developments have made it comparable to Bangkok.
