Three percentages GO by weight of cement were used to make cement mortar mixes with GO. The results of pore structure analyses show a small modification of cement pore distribution due to GO addition. The results indicate that the influence of GO which has a sheet like structure nano materials on rheological properties of composite material is different from other nano materials like nano silica which has spherical shape. The addition of GO has increased the amount of gel pores and enhanced the microstructure of cement paste. The transport properties of GO cement matrix revealed that the fraction of GO in the mix is a very sensitive factor to influencing the transport properties. Water sorptivity and chloride penetration values exhibit enhancements. The effectiveness strongly depends on GO fraction. It is believed that GO addition to cement matrix can effectively enhance its resistance to aggressive elements by forming a strong barrier that can reduce the movement of aggressive chemicals.
