Buddhism Sustainable Development
Environment, economics, and people should be integrated and balanced for sustainable development at individual and group levels and from local to global levels. Although, the concept of sustainable development in the modern sense cannot be interpreted from a Buddhist point of view directly because the Buddha's teachings on the world consisted of three main characteristics: (a) impermanence (change), (b) suffering, and (c) non-self Clinging to the endurance of phenomena is a kind of suffering in Buddhism (Kovacs, 2011: 17). These concepts may lead to the conclusion that sustainability does not exist in Buddhism; in fact, these meanings provoke the awareness of preparation for change in every life and in society. Moreover, Buddhism can be applied for each aspect of development as follows:
