performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled to a refractive
index detector (Agilent 1200) using a Rezex RCM-Monosaccharide
Ca2+ (8%) column (300 mm 7.8 mm) supplied by Phenomenex
(Castel Maggiore, Bologna, Italy).
