a recent study by the national council of women of thailand and department of social welfare showed concern about the large influx of women into the city. national enconomic and social development will fall short if nothing is done to stem the flow of women into bangkok, said the study.the migration revolves around economic, social, criminal, enployment, education and health problems. and as women constitute a major part of the migrants, residentiak, prostitution and child problems are likely to be aggravated, the study pointed out.
