Based upon the higher I/O ratios and associated weak correlation along with results of multifold higher carbonaceous mater in ritual/cultural indoors compared to residential-indoors/ambientoutdoors suggested that indoor generated sources dominated particulate concentrations and associated carbonaceous fractions of indoors in cultural/ritual sites. The average concentrations of PM10 many folds higher in ritual/cultural indoors. Concentration of PM and associated carbonaceous fractions have found up to eight-fold higher in all cultural/ritual indoors than residential-indoors and outdoors. The annual variations at all cultural/ritual indoors alongwith residential-indoors showed similar seasonal trends except MP-indoors. The estimation provided in this study is an important result for indoor PM concentration and associated carbonaceous fractions for further risk assessment or healthrelated studies as well as regulatory agencies to set up guidelines and setting up standards for indoor cultural and ritual places.
