All C. albicans isolates grew as convex dome-shaped pearl-like colonies on SDA. Moreover, 7 of 8 C. glabrata isolates (87.5%) produced colonies with dark center and light periphery. All C. krusei isolates grew as irregular colonies with mycelial fringe. Three isolates of the 4 C. tropicalis (75%) produced umbilicated colonies. However, C. parapsilosis and C. guilliermondii had no specific colony morphology.
