RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The result of the study shows that before people used the handbook, they had knew about the diabetes diseases 77.93 point average and standard deviation was 11.14. And after people have used the handbook, the point average of knowledge was increased to 90.34 and the standard deviation is 7.43. Comparing the number between before and after using handbook, the point average increased about 12.41 and the standard deviation decreased by 3.71. This shows the statistical significance. The point average of habit of food consumption test is 3.54 and standard deviation is 0.33. After using the handbook the point average of habits was increased into 3.65 and standard deviation s 0.34. Comparing the point average of food consumption habits between before and after using handbook, it was increased after using the handbook around 0.11 and the standard deviation is 0.01. The point average between before and after using handbook was statistically significant. The point average of sugar level in blood before using handbook is 151.34 and standard deviation was 47.65. After using the handbook the point average of sugar level in blood decreased to 140.66 and standard deviation is 45.03. The point average of sugar level in blood between before and after using handbook, decreased to with a 10.6 standard deviation of 2.62. This result was not significant.
