Consequently, museums should try to meet both functional (education) and hedonic (entertainment) needs. By extension, museum technologies should also support these two dimensions of the visitor experience, and for this reason, they fall into the category of hybrid systems. Moreover, following esthetics, ease of use and content, both of which are cognitive aspects, are the most important variables that influence user experience. Our research highlights that both cognitive and emotional criteria play a role in the assessment of an interface.
