Our mission is to be a broad development and publisher of software for home computers. In choosing which products to develop, we use two criteria: market potential and the ability to create an advantage over someone else. We are one of the few software publishers that do both internal and external development. To develop new titles internally, there is increasing industry wide competition for the human resources to develop new products, including programmers, animators, artists, 3-D renderers, computer musicians, and so on. It is very much a creative process. Also, we have to develop “play-makers” who can bring these creative teams together. It’s tough to find people with experience at this, so we generally groom people from the inside.
