We understand conflict to be an intrinsic element of organizations and, potentially, a source of innovation, without denying the difficulty that it entails (DeAraùjo and Carreteiro, 2002; De Dreu and Beersma, 2005). Therefore the more that conflict is managed through forms of direct involvement of the interested parties, the more its potentiality in this respect will not be lost. Conflict was conceived as a magnifying lens for capturing obstacles and resources in the relations among the parties; it was a starting point from which to try to sustain them in developing a better understanding of the situation and in identifying the possibility of a different style of coexistence that would allow greater synergy and better service quality.
