Hi Boston & Salam Fehmi,
This is to share and get your analysis on the recent breakdown we faced on Hassia 1.
Initial problem statement:
Weight variation was observed. 1g weight was varying after 2 3 matts.
After about half hour of this, Horizontal seal started leaking from the left most side and sealing impressions were very light.
After the horizontal jaws were adjusted. For a few matts it was okay and then it started leaking again.
All this was seen while machine was running perfectly fine since some time and no change in centerline was done.
Detailed analysis:
Horizontal jaw impressions were seen to be fading out. Upon changing the jaw impressions to see if jaws alignment was the problem, we observed the impressions to fade out again after some strokes (2-5) upon which the components were observed. The shaft on the connecting block on sides of the Horizontal Jaw Blocks, where link arm is attached was seen to be getting off from its weld. The welding was done again to bring the machine back to base condition.
It would be great if you share the following details from your experience on Hassia FVL16/48:
1. Did you face such BD for Horizontal Jaw Link Arms OR the Connecting Blocks OR the shafts?
2. Do you have a PM frequency planned for changing this component or renewing the weld
3. Is it a part of your routinely inspection plan and if yes please share details of inspection methods used
