In addition, we require the following action to be taken:
• Survey: depending on the extent and nature of the problem, Exoriens Fresh Limited may request a survey be conducted on the cargo by an independent third party surveyor
• Photos: these must clearly show the affected product as well as the production information and lot code stickers of the affected boxes.
• Temperature Recorder*: this must be located and kept aside. The location of the temperature recorder is always indicated on the documents email.
• Notice of Intent to Claim: this must be made by the customs agent in destination towards the airline with reference to the AWB in question and advising that the cargo has arrived in poor condition.
• Destruction Certificate: if necessary to destroy product, a certificate or letter of destruction must be provided by an independent third party company as proof that the product was wasted, making reference to the AWB and number of boxes affected.
