The purpose of this study is to broaden the concepts of CSR and community-building perspective in communication literature from an international standpoint. The area of community-building is the least explored in the growing field of CSR and this study seeks to make a contribution in that direction under the premise that CSR is playing a crucial role in the community-building of developing countries. As CSR becomes more widespread, the effect it has on communities and the role it can play in social development in the developing world is worth exploring.
