Human cognition involves many mental processes that highly interrelated, such as perception, attention, memory and thinking. An important and core cognitive process is memory. Color is believed to be the most important visual experience to human beings. It functions as a powerful information channel to the human cognitive system and has been how to enhancing memory performance. Color can be very effective in learning and educational. In the education, the cognitive abilities of the student refer to the way the student perceive, pay attention and remember think. Memory is made up of three structure; sensory register store, short-term store and long-term store. Color helps us in memorizing certain information by increasing our attentions lever. Farley and Grant compared color and no color on memory performance. It was reported the color resulted in better attentions than the no color. There is a lot of research on how color may increase memory. Most of the research is based on how color enhances recall with images or scenes. Not only has color shown to help with performance on focused attention and integration tasks, it also leads to more accurate recognition than the use of standard black and white (Hanna & Remington, 1996).
