Thailand is open to examining perspectives and learning from a variety of sources in the design and implementation of international higher education policy. This is particularly salient to the context of recent stakeholder consultations feeding into the on-going formulation of a strategy on developing regional and international cooperation in higher education.
Reflection on the learning derived from the European higher education area has been deemed a suitable comparison for ASEAN integration 2015 (AC2015) and the movement towards alignment of higher education structures in the region. This has also being considered in terms of the ASEAN International Mobility for students (AIMS) programme
