Policy regarding accommodation & meals at Client Sites
If a client is outside Bangkok they are required to provide either accommodation expenses and per diem allowances for food and incidentals or provide accommodation and meals directly.
This is for the team required by Menumate and not limited to client decision. If Menumate decides that 5 people are needed then that is what must be provided and needs to be agreed clearly.
The client must:
- provide accommodation in single standard accommodation for managers and above with wifi and daily breakfast buffet included (no room service)
- if a hotel or outlet then they should provide meals at their outlet at no cost to our staff (but our staff are limited to normal meals and standard items, not premium items, no alcohol permitted).
- a daily per diem allowance for outside Bangkok of Baht 350 per day per staff member is charged to the client (this is based on labor regulations of what we must provide therefore it must be provided as reimbursement expense to the company).
- the client site must pay for freight and transport of all equipment and staff to the site at cost + 10% if arranged by Menumate or at cost if arranged by client themselves.
AGAIN - REPEAT - TAKE NOTE : do not order food at client restaurants from premium items. Standard menu items only. No steaks, lamb shanks, rack of lamb or other expensive items should be ordered at any time. If you order items like this you will be charged by the client in future instances and have to bear this cost yourself. Use common sense on what is appropriate. If you harm our relationship with client then you harm our future business with them.
NO ALCOHOL - this applies to all at all times, including when we go to Samui to do Ark Bar installation. Even if you are invited by customer you are not REPEAT NOT permitted to consume alcohol while on duty. You are required to decline all such invitations no matter what the circumstance.
If you go to a client site for a personal activity then you are able to enjoy the normal services that you pay for. Do NOT ask for a discount unless it has already been advised to you that the client has offered certain discount to our employees.
Any inappropriate conduct will be dealt with through counseling, advice and discipline if needed.
COMMON SENSE: please use this at all times. Ask youself if what you are doing is appropriate before you go ahead.
This applies to all levels of our team including managers and directors.
As we are spreading our client base throughout Thailand it is important that we are seen as a team of professionals and that we do not behave inappropriately at client sites.
If you have any questions please consult with the Directors.
