Table 3 shows the values of plasma TAC (by FRAP and TEAC assays), and of serum ascorbic and uric acids measured before, during and after the period of strawberry consumption (mean values ± SEM, n = 12). The values of plasma FRAP significantly increased already after 4 days of strawberry intake (8.5% increase) ( Table 3), reaching an 11.4% rise at the end of the in-study period.
