In line with the Teachers’ Day celebration in Thailand, the International Buddhist College (IBC) also held a Teacher's Day celebration in order to pay respect to all the teachers of the IBC for their special contribution to student learning. The teachers have shown unwavering commitment in showing the right path for our future generations.
Kindling the light of Dharma, Professor Kapila Abhayawansa, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, launched the ceremony and gave a short speech on “The importance of paying gratitude to the teachers.” After partaking lunch, members of the Maha Sangha chanted Buddhist Suttas and transferred the merit for the good and healthy life of the teachers.
We hope that we will be able to continue to show gratitude to all the teachers in the coming years. Our sincere thanks go to all the lecturers, staffs, students and the organizing committee members for their various supports to make the event a great success.
