Children as young as three are being given homework at nurseries, according to a new study on the worries of parents and students on back-to-school week.
The survey found one in nine three-year-olds are given homework in nursery, including visual tests for recognising numbers, creating collages for seasons and writing their name or tracing letters.
Carried out by Netmums, the research also found children appear to be getting homework at a younger age with the most common age to start receiving homework now in reception year aged just four.
