In my opinion, students should not wear uniform for everyday study. First of all, it is compulsory for all pupils at high school or lower level to wear uniform all the week round and is it reasonable for university students to maintain this old habit any more? In my opinion, they are old enough to choose suitable and polite clothes for every occasion. Second, only when wearing their own favourite clothes, could student know style that is the most suitable to them. For example, some girls like to be dressed in casual clothes like colorful shirts and jeans while some boys prefer to dress more formally with shirts and trousers. Once dressing in uniform is compulsory, it may be hard for students to show their own styles, trends, characteristics as well as creativeness. One of my girl friends really enjoys clothes that she designs herself rather than the tailored ones. However, uniform should still be worn on some special occasions like the Vietnamese Teachers' Day, some of the university anniversaries or in physical education class. With uniform, the overall scene seems to be nicer and more cheerful on these occasions. Finally, I should say that students' clothes at university should be optional; however, uniform should be encouraged on some suitable cases.
