3.1. Effect of persimmon tannin and its characteristic
units on L02 cell viability
The effects of persimmon tannin and its characteristic units
on cell viability of L02 were shown in Fig. 2. After 48 h of treatment,
persimmon tannin showed obvious cytotoxicity on L02
cell viability at concentration of 40 g/ml, but at concentration
lower than 20 g/ml, persimmon tannin showed no
cytotoxicity. Similar as persimmon tannin, A-type EC dimer
showed no significant effect on cell viability of L02 upon 24 h
with concentrations less than 20 g/ml. While B-type EC dimer,
A-type ECG dimer and A-type EGCG dimer showed little effect
on cell viability up to 60 g/ml. Therefore, the concentrations
we used for persimmon tannin and A-type EC dimer were below
20 g/ml and for B-type EC dimer, A-type ECG dimer and A-type
EGCG dimer were less than 60 g/ml.
