Raise your hand if a yoga teacher's ever told you to do a pose...and you've looked around the room frantically because you had no idea what she was talking about. Yup, thought so. Now, there's an app for that...and it's called Google. The search company launched a new functionality today that lets you ask Google (via voice or text search) about a yoga pose—and gives you a "card" in response that has an image of the pose and several pieces of information about the pose, available at a glance:
the pose's common name
its Sanskrit name
a description of it (granted, it's from Wikipedia, but hey, it's better than nothing)
the areas of the body it stretches and works
preparatory poses
follow-up poses
So if you search for one of the 131 poses included in the feature, you'll see something that looks like this:
