The tourism industry uses different
TSCs in which the issue of
assembling resources is central.
These assemblies require
mechanisms that are more or less
flexible, modular, and dynamic,
together with the specific
assembling skills of the pivots of the different networks of actors.
These skills can be used only for
the dynamic assembly of supply
chains when four key dimensions
are mastered: design, combination,
coordination, and control of the
organisational structures in place.
This publication thus contributes
to the development of greater
understanding of the opportunities
offered by taking an innovative
approach to TSCM. From the
managerial perspective, this
research contributes to the
development of management skills
for supply chains that are
temporary in duration and
frequency. In particular, a fifth C
(consumer) could be added to the
4C concept of dynamic assembly.
