Escape or Avoidance: removing or disengaging oneself from the stressful situation, or refusing to accept the reality of the situation •
Distraction: dealing with a stressful situation by engaging in an alternative pleasurable activity or self-care •
Blaming: actions that involve frustration, anger, blaming, or passive aggression •
Positive reframing: changing one’s view of a stressful situation in order to see it in a positive/more tolerable light •
