Based on this study, there are several recommendations for additional research and action. From the beginning of this study, the goal was to bring current technology to the Rapid Field Fix process and adjust each milestone date accordingly. The plan was to shorten process time and resolve vehicle quality issues promptly. Although the improvement in process time for Type A and B issues is promising—28.5% and 19.2% respectively—it is necessary to study a larger population to accurately determine the improvements realized. In addition, further analysis and monitoring of future RFF issues is recommended in order to gauge the true process time improvement achieved. This will also help determine if the revised process times are realistic
