The slurry samples were filtered (Millipore 0.22 μm) and liquid
(filtrate) was analyzed for hydrogen peroxide. Formation of hydrogen
peroxide was detected in the filtrate. The effect of pulp pH during grinding
on formation of hydrogen peroxide is shown in Fig. 2. It can be seen
that at pH 2.7 generated more H2O2 than at pHs 3.7 and 6.8. This is in
agreementwith our earlier studieswhere pyritewas shown to generate
H2O2 during wet grinding
