For example, vehicles with a beacon broadcast frequency
of 0.5 Hz and transmission radius of 150 meters, traveling
at any route with a maximum allowed speed of 16.67 m/s
(60 km/h), obtain an optimal distance of about 116.67 meters.
In CARTIM, this calculation is needed to find the closest
neighbor to this reference distance, in order to retransmit a
unicast message. In spite of the cooperative traffic messages
being unicast, vehicles within reception range can listen to
these transmissions and obtain message contents.
