Receiver-operating characteristic analysis of the diagnostic
tests compared with each other is displayed in
Table 3. There was a 64% chance that animals with no
purulent content in the uterus were concurrently scored as
MS0, with a specificity of 25.7%. Increasing UTS scores
decreased the sensitivity for MS1, 2 and 3% to 22%, 33.3%
and 26.3%, respectively. The combination of animals scored
as MS2 or MS3, used as the threshold for a positive diagnosis,
had a specificity of 91.7% and a sensitivity of 39.1%.
