In experiments, each experimental group used 50
g dry aluminum dross. Additionally, 0 to 15 mL of the
pickling liquor was added separately, mixed well, and
placed in the Erlenmeyer flask. Subsequently, 0 to 15
mL of water was added and the mixture was shaken.
The total amount of water and pickling liquor was 15
mL. The reaction vessel was then sealed with silicone
plugs and port valves. Throughout the reaction,
readings on the glass syringe were recorded at specific
intervals to assess the gas production. If the gas production
exceeded 200 mL and the entire syringe was
nearly completely filled with gas, the silicone tube
was clamped to the syringe connected to the flask, the
syringe was removed to assess the concentration of
gases such as ammonia and methane, and an empty
syringe was reattached.
