To further verify the effect of GDC on the crystallization of glasses, the crystallization behaviors of quenched glass#10ZnO and glass#10ZnO/GDC reaction couples (50:50 in wt.%) were measured by DSC, as shown in Fig. 4. It is worth noting that the onset crystallization temperature (Tx) increases from 816 °C for glass#10ZnO quenched glass to 829 °C for glass#10ZnO/GDC reaction couples. In addition, the peak temperature of crystallization (Tp) increases from 847 to 862 °C with the presence of GDC in glass#10ZnO. These experimental results also confirm that the crystallization of glasses can be retarded by GDC electrolyte in present work, in agreement with the XRD results of reaction couples (Fig. 2).
