in the local newspapers. The body mass index (BMI) for women and
men was 19.7 (S.D. = 4.0) and 22.5 (S.D. = 2.9), respectively.
Participants were not receiving medical treatment for any
progressive illness. They received a payment of s20 as compensation
for their participation in the study.
