At the lowest level of the hierarchy, a list of
alternatives provides the decision points that are
evaluated against this hierarchy. The alternatives
represented in the hierarchy are comprise four sets
of KM tools, as represented in Table 1: Business
intelligence, content applications, data management
tools, and collaborative tools.
The output of the methodological framework
consists in the hierarchical structure, as presented in
the Figure 1, where all the variables are arranged in
such a way that each of them directly influences the
selection of KM tools.
