Tunable diode laser absorption spectrometry (TDLAS)
and chemiluminescencedetection (CD) were both employed
by Fried et al. (1988)for the determination ofseven NO2/air
compressedgas mixtures in the 2,3-2500 ppm concentration
range. This study presents the detailed NO2 intercomparison
between very selective spectroscopic techniques and the
technique of CD for compressed gas standards determination. After HNO3 was accounted for, measured in all but one
cylinder examined, the TDLAS and CD NO2 determinations were generally found to agree to better than 3%.
